How to prepare for farming
To grow gooseberry on one hectare of land, dig 1 to 1.5 meters deep
Keep the distance between the pits 8 to 10 meters. Take out pebbles and separate them and let these pits fill with rain water.
When the time for transplanting comes in July, then take out this water.
Fill the pit up to the top by adding a mixture of cow dung manure, neem cake, sand and gypsum.

It is good to prepare nursery and transplant between July and September. Amla plant should be sown at a depth of 1 meter. Try to plant at least two varieties of gooseberry. Due to this the plants pollinate each other, which benefits the crop. Irrigation of gooseberry can be started after transplanting. In summer the plants can be watered every week. Irrigation can be reduced in rains. When the gooseberry tree becomes big, it does not require much water. Do not irrigate the gooseberry plants when flowers are emerging. After 25 days of sowing of gooseberry, weed it, so that unnecessary weeds can be removed.
