How to cultivate avocado fruit

Avocado cultivation method
Temperature: Avocados are found in the South American subcontinent, so they need a tropical climate. A temperature of 20-30 degree Celsius with more than 60 percent moisture is suitable for its good yield. Although avocado trees are able to tolerate more cold, but they can easily tolerate temperature up to about 5 degree Celsius. Temperature below 5°C can destroy its flowers and temperature around 40 can cause fruit and flower to wither, red zone is the best for avocado cultivation because here the temperature does not reach around 40 so easily and pink areas will probably damage your avocado trees. Maybe that’s why they are mainly grown in the southern parts of . Presently Tamil Nadu and Kerala are its major producers.

Moisture: Avocado needs 50-60% moisture. The upper parts of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, most of the north eastern states and most of the eastern and western coasts of South are suitable for its cultivation.
Rainfall: More than 100 cm of rain per year is needed for the production of avocados. Except Rajasthan, North Gujarat and some parts of Maharashtra and Karnataka, all other regions are in desired or excess rainfall. Where avocados can be grown.
Soil Type: Red soil is found in most areas of and red soil is not good for cultivation. Normally water does not stop in red soil and the amount of clay in it is less. So the same laterite soil is suitable for its cultivation because it has more clay content and it also has more water holding capacity.
