Bring change, otherwise the consequences can be even more frightening. The option of vermicompost has been available by scientists for a long time to replace unnatural fertilizers. The acceptance of this option is not increasing due to 2 reasons. Lack of information, secondly its bad publicity which is due to those people who adopt such projects but do not maintain them in incomplete care and scientific way and this is the reason for their failure. Work diligently in extension, training and research to encourage the methods.
Any business will be adopted only when it increases the income of the farmer and the increasing consumption of vermicompost is doing the work of increasing income for those who produce it on a commercial level. On using 330 tons of raw material, only 60% of it is available in the form of ready compost. By making vermicompost 5 times in a year, a minimum net income of 3,73,920 is received in the first year. In the coming years, this income is up to about 6 lakhs The vermi wash which is used as a plant growth enhancer, the farmer can earn additional income either by using it or selling it further. Along with this, he can also increase his income by giving training to more farmers.
Marketing:
The income in this business largely depends on where the farmer sells his finished goods. He should try to pack the manure directly and deliver it to the end consumer. In , the use of fertilizers in home gardens and fruit gardens is very high, so the profit is more in selling fertilizers directly to these consumers. As far as possible, if the farmer makes his own company and sells the finished goods through the Internet, then the same earthworm fertilizers on an average 100 to 300 Rs. Sells up to per kg.
loan facility:
If the students studying in agriculture faculty adopt this business, then under the scheme of Agriculture Clinic and Agriculture Business Center, they get loans with subsidy on projects up to 20 lakhs with 11.5% interest and loan repayment time of 5 to 7 years.
