The fruit of Arunika variety is very sweet, as well as rich in many anti-carcinogenic elements like mangiferin and lupeol in addition to vitamin A. The fruit of this variety is very durable. Please tell that Amrapali has played the role of mother for both Ambika and Arunika, because Arunika Kisht has been developed due to the combination of Vanraj with Amrapali, while the hybridization of Amrapali and Janardan Pasand has resulted in Ambika variety. For information, let us tell you that Janardan Pasand is a South n variety and Vanraj is considered a famous variety of Gujarat. Both these varieties have been used as parents. These varieties are beautiful to look at and red in colour, but are not as good in taste as Amrapali. In this way, genes for regular fruiting have come in Ambika and Arunika grains only.
