Fruit borer: The adult of this insect is brown in color and the braids are green in colour. The most harmful stage of this insect is braided. The thrips initially attack the tender leaves and later attack the fruits.
One strand is capable of destroying 2-8 fruits. Such fruits are not liked by the consumers and also do not fetch good prices in the market. The holes made on the fruit are round. Attack is more on green fruits due to which acidity increases and these fruits gradually become less preferred.
