According to Natural Agriculture Research Institute, Varanasi, this variety will be ready after ripening in two to three waters. Production per acre will be 6-7 quintals, seed will be 6 kg per acre. Suryaprakash Singh of Kudrat Krishi Shedh Sanstha says that sowing Kalyani variety of moong increases the fertility of the land.
Along with this, green manure is also prepared after harvesting. Yellow mosaic will be tolerant to powdery mildew disease. This variety has been prepared for the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Haryana, Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Punjab etc.
Seven and a half thousand rupees per hectare grant
Sow intermediate jowar+moong 4:2 or 6:3, maize+moong 4:2 or 6:3, arhar+moong 2:4 or 2:6.
Crop rotation for paddy fields: Sow with paddy-wheat-mung bean or paddy-mung bean-paddy, mung bean-wheat-mung bean and cotton-mung bean-cotton crop rotation.
Under the National Food Security Mission, farmers are being given a grant of Rs.5000 per hectare for the summer season. Under Beej Gram Yojana, Urad seeds are being given to the farmers for seed, fertilizer and medicine. The seeds have been stored at the development block headquarters. This scheme is for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe farmers.
