possibility of cashew farming
The Department of Horticulture has taken initiative for allotment of 100 acres of land in village Kohat Rayat on the instructions of the Chief Minister of the state, Kamal Nath. A Central Government team has recently made a study tour to Chhindwara to find out the possibilities of cashew cultivation. Along with traditional agriculture, necessary arrangements are being made for the cultivation of fruits and dry fruits at this place.
Number of making orchid park will increase
The youth of Manikhpa, a tribal area of Chidwara district, are also being encouraged to cultivate flowers. The development of Orchid Park will increase the number of farmers. Along with giving land on lease to the farmers in the Orchid Park, sufficient water for irrigation and electricity facilities are also made available as per the requirement.
