Till the year 1984, Blue Poppy was not seen anywhere in the Valley of Flowers. In the same year, Japanese student Cho Bakambe reached the valley for research on flowers. He had come to see the valley earlier also and then the idea came to his mind that why not to grow blue poppy, the national flower of Japan. That’s why he brought the seeds of Blue Poppy with him, when he returned after three years in 1987, Blue Popu was grown all over the valley and its color was scattered.
