Nowadays guava plants are being planted under the evergreen method. In place of 6/6 meter in traditional method, sapling is being planted in 3/3 meter and in narrow orchard, 2/1 meter. It is very important to manage their canopy. First of all, after 6 months of planting i.e. if you have planted the plant in July, then in December or January, cut the entire branches from 2 feet above the ground i.e. 60 cm above. After this, branches will emerge again, which should then be spread in all four directions. When the branches reach 2 feet, cut them 50 percent. Let us tell you that 50 percent has to be cut every time the branches emerge.
Keep in mind that from where the grafting of the plant is done, the twigs coming out from there should be cut off. This keeps the plant getting nutrients. After this, Copper Oxi Light, 50 percent WP dissolved in 250 grams per liter of water should be sprinkled on the entire plant and down to the stem. Due to this the plant will not be vulnerable to any disease or pest.
