    The fertilizer crisis in Barambaki district of Uttar Pradesh is not taking its name. Farmers are upset due to non-availability of fertilizers on cooperative societies. Sowing of wheat along with potato has started for Rabi season, so farmers are in great need of fertilizers. Farmers have to wander here and there for each and every sack of manure. Because of this, one or the other incident is coming to the fore every day.

    The latest case pertains to Sadhan Cooperative Society of Trilokpur town of Tehsil Ramnagar. Where a farmer got so angry due to non-availability of fertilizers that he started threatening suicide by climbing a tree. Seeing the scene, the police reached on the information, their hands and feet swelled. A video of farmer’s suicide attempt is also going viral on social media.

    In Trilokpur town of Ramnagar Tehsil of Barambaki, hundreds of farmers were waiting for their turn at the time of distribution of fertilizers at Sadhan Sahakari Samiti. Seeing the crowd, the employees informed the police to handle the arrangements.

    At the same time, Bharat Rawat, a farmer of Trilokpur town, climbed a neem tree standing nearby, alleging that he had been waiting for fertilizer for a long time, but did not get it. The fellow farmers standing below started explaining to him. Meanwhile, he started threatening to commit suicide.

    When the police, who reached the information, saw this scene, their hands and feet swelled up. The police somehow pacified the farmer threatening to commit suicide and brought him down and took him with them to the police station. In fact, for a long time, there is a shortage of fertilizers in the resource cooperative societies of different districts of Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, farmers have to struggle a lot to get fertilizers.
